    Instrument Cluster Fog Light

Awesome! I don't suppose you could post of screen-shot? That's one of the sections in the service manual I unfortunately don't have access to. Strange that I had no trouble finding the service information for the high voltage & traction battery systems...

Picture : The E-Soul trunk capacity

Please please PLEASE tell me it comes with a spare tire. Don't even need a full size, a space saver would be fine. The first generation never came with them, really hoping they corrected this mistake for the 2nd generation. I mean come-on, it's embaresing for a $40,000+ car to not come with...

    Summer rims and tires

Considering you're past the 5-year/100,000km Powertrain Warranty that covers the axles, and drive-shafts, you're free to do as you please. As far as I know the 8-year/150,000km EV Components warranty is completely unrelated. Going to a lighter set-up should be overall better all around, so a...

    Electric Vehicle Brakes

I recently found out that a company in Canada called NRS, fabricates a set of specialty brake pads specifically for electric vehicles. They claim that moisture buildup on regular brake pads can lead to premature brake failure. Their pads are made with a galvanized steel backing, featuring...

    Instrument Cluster Fog Light

Good day gentlemen (and ladies ) of the forum. Are any of you familiar with how the fog lights LED indicator lamp in instrument cluster is normally powered? I would imagine it receives power from one of the wires of the wiring harness from the back of the instrument cluster. Any ideas as to...

Charging Port Door Mechanism in WInter

I've had a lot of success using silicone lubricant on the charge door gasket. It helps displace water, thus preventing icing. If the door is frozen, some lock deicer will work wonders. If your cord is frozen inside the charge port though...I don't know anymore... :(

    Hardwiring a DashCam

I strongly suggest against hard wiring it. Many systems in car are supplied with 12 volt power, which is far too much voltage for the dash cam. They typically do not accept more than 5 volts for charging and if you connect a 12 volt supply, you may either blow a fuse (best case scenario) or...

2020 Soul (39 kW) cargo cover

Oh dear... This is quite a mystery I'm not sure I'll ever understand. How does one offer a car at a $40k trim level and not include equipment that's available on a $20k trim level vehicle.

Using "trickle" charger on a NEMA 6-50 plug

I don't think I will go as far as to open my EVSE and check, mainly because it's the only one I have, and don't want to risk damaging it. I will just buy a proper dual voltage one, not only for the fact that it's certified for the dual voltage, but also for the higher amperage rating as well...

Using "trickle" charger on a NEMA 6-50 plug

Don't worry guys I'm not going to experiment through trial and error. I'd be digging my own grave in that case... I plan on getting a proper dual voltage charger. The only reason I mention this is because I found another thread where the one of the respondants was able to use their included...

Using "trickle" charger on a NEMA 6-50 plug

Hello everyone, I have a 2019 Soul EV that's only 9 months old. I found that a grocery store in my area has dedicated stalls for electric vehicles, with NEMA 6-50 plugs. You need your own cord to be able to charge. I recently found an adapter that can allow me to do this. It's a NEMA 6-50 male...
