Newer Soul EVs and battery pack upgrades

Time flies, and whatever happens its out of our hands at that point. I have what... 35 months left on this lease. So by then we are bound to have something newer/better after 2 years. Don't get me wrong, I still would be jealous if the Soul EV or the Niro EV comes out with more range, but I...

Chargepoint stations and less than 6.6 kWh charging

I wish I can say it was just that charger, but I tried to two in different cities with the same result. As stated before ~0.6 kW isn't going to hurt me, but I was curious of what others were charging at. I would need to get that BT ODB module and really test it out to see.

    Charging Fault error.

You can always enact the lemon law, which varies state to state (if you are in the US). I went though it before, and it was a long process that required lots of time on my part and they did not even take the car back. Have you spoken to Kia corp about the issue yet? IMHO, I have a feeling Kia...

Newer Soul EVs and battery pack upgrades

I read those posts through Google translate, and its interesting. However I don't think it will be just a battery pack upgrade for us, as it will require a new car. For the US, it will possibly be the 2018 model. The 2017 model is already listed on Kia's site...

Newer Soul EVs and battery pack upgrades

That would be nice if they do this. The other EVs are coming up fast and our EV will be a thing of the paste once Bolt, Model E, and a few others pop in 2017.

    OBD2 Diagnostics Port

Thank you SoulEV2016. I was looking for this info just the other day. Do you think there is enough room to use velcro or command strips on the KW902 so I can just leave it always connected and hidden (with extension of course), or is this not a good idea?

Newer Soul EVs and battery pack upgrades

So with the 2017 on the horizon, and with 2017 the year of the "affordable" 200mi range EV car, the Kia Soul, Nissan Leaf, BMW i3, and etc, are going to look a bit less desirable. Granted, the phrase "if it works for you, then it doesn't matter" comes to mind, but what will happen with the Kia...

Chargepoint stations and less than 6.6 kWh charging

They should update their marketing material and manuals, or else they will have a nice law suit on their hands.

Chargepoint stations and less than 6.6 kWh charging

Thank you for getting back to me on this JejuSoul. I did not read all the posts about the issue, but I wonder if the MY2017 would be "limited" to the same issue. Granted we are only talking about < 2 miles per hour difference however.

Chargepoint stations and less than 6.6 kWh charging

Hello all and forgive me if this has been answered already. I was at a chargepoint station, and while doing a charge, I noticed I could not go above 6 kWh even though the station is rated for 6.6 (exact amount was 5.91). I also tried another chargepoint station with the same result. Is this...

    Lease Return or Buyout

I have a long way to go personally since I just picked up my vehicle (12/16) for 3/36, but I don't usually keep my cars past the 2 year mark. By that time the Soul EV, or whatever EV Kia has at that time, will have a nice competition from different manufacturers. So we will see where the pieces...

    Charging Fault error.

Been following this thread for a bit, however I just joined to add my 2 cents worth. Picked up a new MY 2016 EV+, and its running well so far. According to what I can gather, it was made on 12/2015, and sent over the US and arrived in port on/or about July 2016. Sent over to the dealer on...
