Well, it turns out it wasn't stuck at all. I recently drove the car long enough again to get below 18% and now SoulSpy reports 108,3% SoH. The GOM says 154km range (without climate control) so I guess it finally thinks I got an actual new battery.

Perhaps they BMS software got upgraded and then it resets to "new". It can take a while before the BMS learns the actual SOH. You can ask a KIA dealer to get a reading or buy a OBD-II dongle and use the Soul Spy app to find out.

The guarantee is not worldwide. There are differences in countries/regions with regards to the warranty. The best way to find out is to call the Finnish KIA organisation and ask if they will honour guarantees on imported cars from the USA. If they say yes, it's probably a good idea to get that...
