    Kia buy back

I assume they sell them. Have you asked about a buy back?

    Kia buy back

GOOD! I feel like Kia ****** us all around with half truths, wrong info, and flat out ghosting us. It has just been so shady! I’m glad they’re giving you a good buyback amount.

Car stuck at dealer for 3 months awaiting warranty battery replacement (2017 Soul EV)

There’s no incentive for Kia to process the claims even if they put you in the “escalated” category. If your state has lemon law where the manufacturer pays the lawyer (like California), it would be in the owner’s best interest to have a lawyer do the arguing for you. Kia’s lawyers will want...

    Here I am...no car

This is similar to my experience. They did end up giving me my car back without the battery (that they said it would need). Just the BMS was updated. I have read that some of the returned cars went back to turtle mode already, so I’m afraid mine might too.

    Here I am...no car

I’m sorry you’re going through that. You may be in for a very long wait from customer care. You could consult a lemon law lawyer to see if they can help.

Battery Recall for cars with E400 high-voltage battery.

When my car was in repair hold, they were planning a new battery and the updated BMS. They did the BMS only, and returned the car to me.

Battery Recall for cars with E400 high-voltage battery.

How much does everyone trust their cars to keep working well? It feels like a crap shoot whether my car will keep running since it came home. It has not turtled yet, but I am almost expecting it will.

Car stuck at dealer for 3 months awaiting warranty battery replacement (2017 Soul EV)

I’m not sure how to get them to make their offer even after they receive our documents and say they’re working on it. Either they’re too busy or they’re instructed to hold off.

Car stuck at dealer for 3 months awaiting warranty battery replacement (2017 Soul EV)

They told me to save my gas receipts for reimbursement. Do the customer care reps know their own policies?

Do you want the name of a lawyer who is handling these cases? I am starting the legal process, finally acknowledging that I’m not getting my car back.

The escalation people don’t call. I called them back and there was lots of apologies and “oh my we are required to call back within x days and you should have gotten a call” when you call them. There’s no incentive for them to follow up with you.

Car stuck at dealer for 3 months awaiting warranty battery replacement (2017 Soul EV)

For those of us with the battery warranty, is the Lemon Law applicable? I think it may be time to consult a lawyer.

Car stuck at dealer for 3 months awaiting warranty battery replacement (2017 Soul EV)

I was recently told that my Soul’s “repair hold” is pending an update and a new battery, and they’re waiting for the update to be deployed. I asked if the battery is there, they said no. I asked if the battery has been ordered, they said no.

Battery Recall for cars with E400 high-voltage battery.

Has anyone besides JejuSoul gotten the updated software? My dealership doesn’t seem to know anything about it. I dont like paying for gas in my rental.

Battery Recall for cars with E400 high-voltage battery.

I’d like to know how many battery fires have occurred so far on the high voltage batteries that are out there, and how many of the recall-addressed vehicles have gone into limp mode.

Software revision sounds least expensive, but they need to ensure safety too.

Battery Recall for cars with E400 high-voltage battery.

I Yes and no. Upside is no limp mode, downside is the risk of fire.

It sounds like maybe revising the software or using new new packs could be the next steps. Thanks for explaining your thoughts on this JejuSoul.

Battery Recall for cars with E400 high-voltage battery.

My EV Soul is now on “repair hold” and they’ll provide a rental while Kia decides what to do. There’s an error code causing the EV light and limp mode again. I’m assuming the BMS is throwing the error regarding the 2 month old replaced battery. Has anyone here had the recall software cause...
