yeah, and I had to adjust valve lash clearance every 10k miles on my VW microbus. Grind valve seats at 30k in Fords. Replace rings and bearings at around 50k for all. Brake pads with every set of tires. Cars were crap back then.

OK. I misunderstood “barren interstates” to mean lacking in “other facilities”. My only visits to AZ are when I get to put my raft in the water at Lee’s Ferry. Y’all can have the rest of the place.

jcaz, as near as I can tell, commercial activities at federal highway (Interstate Highway) rest areas are still heavily restricted. Of course, Arizona officials tend to think that regulations are for everyone else...

I always thought it was a little weird too. We do allow “non-profit” enterprises at rest stops; like local Chamber of Commerce offering coffee and cookies for a donation. A service to the driving public. I strongly believe that publicly owned, solar powered charging stations at interstate rest...

Has the federal restriction against commercial activities at Interstate Highway Rest Areas been lifted? That would allow for public asset charging stations along federal highways.

Thanks but I think not. Car is three months old. Fussing with door closing/locking/unlocking seems to reset something, and it will start. Battery tester says 12v has full charge. Can it be a software thing? I didn't see any other posts on the topic.

Three times in the past two days. I unlock with key fob, buckle in, step on brake, hit the go button. Nothing happens. Lock/unlock by hand from inside. Nothing. Get out, open and close driver door. Get in and try again. The first time, that worked. Second time only after opening/closing all...
