Woke up this morning, car hadn't charged on the scheduled 10pm (it was blinking ready mode when I plugged it in at 7pm), and suddenly the "Energy Flow" diagram showing which direction energy is moving (wheels <-> battery) is gone, and has been replaced by a simple readout of the current "EV rating" for the trip.

Any ideas what happened? Did we just get an update or something?

Not sure about your charge timer situation, but the energy flow screen is one of many screens that can be selected via the controls on the steering wheel.

You can page through the screens with the uppermost button on the lower-right quadrant of the wheel (opposite the phone controls). At the top of the little screen between the instruments there are icons for power flow, eco level, music, service, etc., that you can see highlighted as you page through them. Then, within each page, you can use the "arrow down" button in the same button group on the steering wheel to look through various sub-segments within each page.

I'm guessing you just bumped the page on accident.

I "tabbed" through the screens but didn't see the diagram. I didn't try selecting "down" on one of those screens though, maybe that's what it is. Will let you know!

Yup that was it! Thanks. I'll keep in mind it works that way.

Presumably the charging is a different issue. I'll check to see if the charger didn't fault or something.

That energy flow is the least helpful screen in the whole display. It's meaningless, as it shows no useful info, the least of which could be the battery %-age. I don't understand what Kia was thinking, sticking it in there. Reminds me of the Leaf trees, another nonsense.

It's saying, look! The wheels are turning! Energy is flowing! Like I don't know that, right?

Haha yeah I agree. Honestly my wife freaked out that it disappeared and wanted it back. Explaining such a perfectly rational observation isn't going to win me any points ;)

You have to "fem out." That works every time with every woman. I use it with irate nurses at the hospital. Calms them down, and I get all the cooperation I need to solve the problem.
