Have you replaced your EV motor/transmission/housing with a used one? I found transmissions I can buy and a shop to install. The shop though, is not sure if the transmission will be a plug and play replacement or whether software is required for program. Thanks!

Bump. Appreciate any suggestions.

I had my gear box replaced and no sw adjustments were required at all. The work was done by a "regular" transmission shop, it was their first EV. I provided detailed instructions via highlighted sections from the KIA Service Manual on how to safely disconnect the battery, disassemble the EV components under the hood to access the motor and gearbox, etc.

In the end my garage too a shortcut to access the gearbox from underneath thus avoiding all that extra work, which saved me a bunch of $.

I could even mail you my Service Manual pages with the highlighting, etc. if you want to cover the postage. It only contains the sections and pages involved in the process to replace the gear assembly, which requires removing the entire "stack" of components in the engine compartment above it, if you go by the book.
