Help! Fully charged car dies on highway.

Please help me or my wife will make me get rid of the car.
We have a Soul EV 2016. This has happened twice. The car is fully charged and suddenly it stops working. Just dies in the middle of the road. Dashboard also blinks.

Very hard to get it to the side of the road. It will restart a minute later.

What the hell is going on? This is very dangerous.

You need a KIA dealer to access the stored history to identify the problem area.

Could be your 12v battery under the hood is failing. Sudden lose of 12v voltage would probably result in what you're seeing.

I agree, take it to KIA and get it checked out.

Once the car is ON, the 12V dc requirements are met by the dc-dc converter, and the 12V battery condition does not matter. The 12V battery is only crucial to "starting up" and recharging. It would have to be a dual fault, both the 12V battery and the dc-dc converter.

As the car does restart, I think the problem lies elsewhere.
