I just got my car back with a replacement HV battery pack and BMS, all done under warranty. Just in time too, as the 8-year warranty expires in 1 month. The battery SOH was 63%, measured both by me (via CarScanner app) and the dealership. The approval from Kia to the dealership took less than 24 hours, and that was done Dec 17, 2024. It took 4 weeks for the new battery to arrive, and that was over Christmas and New Year's. One more week for an appointment to do the work. So 5 weeks in total. We took the car home and used it, so no loaner/rental.

The part# is 37510E4253R, which is listed as a genuine Kia Remanufactured battery pack assembly. The car is now fully charged in my garage which is just above freezing temps today (4 degrees C). Range is 150 km, CarScanner SOH is 110%. I was getting a max of 70 km before the replacement; 150 km is the best I ever got in the summer when I bought the car 5 years ago. Never had 150 in the winter. CarScanner reports 96 cells.

I got a quick peek at the dealership's costs for the job which were about $5000 Cdn for the battery and another $1000 labour.

Anyone have experience with a remanufactured pack?
