Lease Transfers

We're very interested in a Soul EV but Kia is not selling them in Minnesota. We acquired our current Focus Electric through a lease transfer. Ford will sell the Focus Electric in MN but it's hard to get one. That forced us to do a lease transfer. Does anyone know if Kia will allow lease transfers of the Soul EV?

The source of information below is a Kia dealer and we all know that what they say is absolute truth (just like anything posted on the internet). So, with that disclaimer .....

1. Dealer said lease transfers are allowed.

2. Dealer said since the car is not being sold in all states you are allowed to lease it from another state. You need to arrange for transporting the car to destination state.

Though these EVs need very little maintenance but that is still a valid concern. Maybe it is a good idea to check with the local dealer before buying one.
