I'm a little late to the introductions here, but I purchased my 2018 Kia Soul EV+ used off of Carvana last May. As far as satisfaction ratings go, this has honestly been the best car I've owned since the old Saturn VUEs.

It is an amazingly solid-feeling little car. It drives like a miniature spaceship and has such a low center of gravity due to the EV battery that the car handles so well. I work remotely from home, so I practically only drive about 125 miles a month, so this car is absolutely perfect for me.

I just got the Soul Spy app working (I have an iPhone so had to buy one of those AT&T pre-paid phones for $30 at Target to use the app, but it was worth it). It's so nice to have detailed information about the car because I honestly do not trust the Kia Dealership near me.

Horror Story: The day after I got the Soul EV from Carvana, I took it to the dealership to have it checked out. They did their diagnostics, upgraded firmware, and whatever else. They told me the battery (both batteries were great, and the car checked out). The 12V battery died completely about four months later; luckily, I had enough warning from other folks on the forum to know what the issue was. Decided at the first of the year (2025) to get the tires and brakes checked out and went to a very good reputable tire place. The tires on my car were the ORIGINALS from 2017! You'd think the Kia dealership would have caught that.

Other than not being able to get KIA Connect working since my onboard modem won't connect to the KIA Mothership, the car is amazing. I barely have 42k miles on it so the only thing I'm focusing on now is getting the EV Battery replaced before 100k or 10 years whichever comes sooner.

I am looking for some trim kits as I'd love to swap out the white plastic things on the exterior for black, but I'm in no hurry.

Great.

Seems unlikely. The 2018 packs do not degrade anywhere near as fast as the older 27kWh packs.
Unless of course you live in Arizona.

Very good to know. I charge probably once a month to 85% when I drop below 30%. I'm consistently getting excellent radius on my charge so I'm believing I must've got a good battery pack. It's still a 27kwh vs 30kwh but it's doing great on efficiency.
