OBC became dysfunctional

My 2017 Soul EV stopped charging last week. A visit to local Kia dealer, it was revealed that OBC had become useless. It happened after 31 months of trouble-free operation and after 20,120 Kilometers of driving. Local Kia dealer replaced the OBC under warranty and in just two days. Its now working well. OBC in Kia Soul seems to be a worry even after replacement.

Similar experience.

We leased a 2017 Soul EV+ in spring of 2017. In November the OBC failed. It took 4 months, but Kia paid to barge the vehicle to Seattle (we live in Alaska, and Kia does not sell any EVs in Alaska), fix it, and barge it back.

Haven't had any problem since.

Some internet sleuthing revealed that failure of the OBC is not uncommon among Soul EV owners.
