After some hours parking, the car produced a fault after reversing some, and pulling it from R to D position. Lighting the "EV fault" triangle on dashboard, and limiting the car to slow speed. The diagnostics say P0706 fault code, but we are not sure that it will be the transmission's or the shifter's fault. Did any of you solved this type of problem?

Code P0706 KIA Description

The P0706 diagnostic trouble code for KIA vehicles refers to an issue with the Transmission Range Sensor (TRS) circuit performance. The Transmission Range Sensor, also known as the Neutral Safety Switch, is a crucial component in automatic transmissions that helps the vehicle's computer system determine the gear position. The TRS sends signals to the Transmission Control Module (TCM) to ensure that the correct gear is engaged based on the position of the shift lever.

From KIA Parts Superstore the cost of a new Automatic Transmission Gear Position Sensor is $130CAD

I doubt the part itself is broken. More likely a loose wire or fuse.
Any mechanic should be able to diagnose this fairly quickly.
