If your Konnwei works, that's fine. Mine does, but I've had it for 4 years or more. It's the newer ones which maybe do not.

It is common for the SOH to be unavailable for a while after the BMS was updated. Drive say 50 miles and then try.
It has been over 1000 miles since the update, still no SOH.

Please let us know if SoulSpy is working as advertised on PlayStore as I wish to purchase a copy.

Many thanks,
Grant.

The recommended OBD bluetooth adapter for Soul EV Spy is now "VGate iCar Pro BT4.0".

The previously recommended OBD bluetooth adapter is no longer recommended.

Konnwei have modified the KW902 hardware and firmware at least 5 times since it was recommended in 2016, most of the versions not working correctly in some combination of car and phone. It is impossible to tell the different versions by the exterior of the adapter, so when a new user purchase a KW902 today, it is most likely not working correctly. The differences are not possible to compensate in the app software. Consequently, a different OBD bluetooth adapter is now recommended for Soul EV Spy:
VGate iCar Pro BT4.0.

PS: If you have use of the app, please consider giving a positive review, to counter all the negative reviews caused by the incompatible Konnwei adapters: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.evranger.soulspy

Thanks!
Thanks for the update about the correct OBD adapter; just got mine this morning, installed and collected data. Seriously this is an awesome app and I left you a review today as well.

My 2021ish Konnwei had been working on my 2019 until one of the BMS updates. It now displays nearly everything with the notable exception of below. I received the Vgate this morning and have the same result shown below.
Autel MX808S-TS does report SOH values.
Soul EV Spy version 1.0.11-2091

FYI I (maintainer of the SoulEVSpy app) do not own a 2018 Kia Soul EV. In order to support new data formats from the updated BMS firmware, I need volunteers to email SoulSpyLog-files from the Download dir, to [email protected]

Also, if you already know the correct SOH-value from another source, it will be useful to state the value.

Thanks 😀

Please check your email (possibly spam folder) for:

Soul EV Spy - 2019 Soul with Konnwei ODB

I pulled files for both my Konnwei (from 2022, it had been reporting 100% SOH before the BMS updates) and a brand new iCar scanner recommended above, purchased in the last week or 2.

Autel is reporting 100% SOH and I can check any other data as needed. I may have saved it all off onto the scanner, but need to play some more to learn how to pull it off there. I imagine the OBD data is encoded but will poke around to see if the map is magically readable.
