Well folks, it's been a fun ride with you all over the last 5 years, but I'm officially no longer a Soul EV owner.
Had an unfortunate accident during my morning commute and rear-ended a poor fellow stopped in traffic on the highway. No one was hurt, we were both able to drive away, but insurance has written of my car as the cost of repairs was approximately the same as the vehicle's value.
I have replaced my soul with a 2021 Chevy Bolt Premier. It's about twice the EV that the old Soul was, 2.5x the range, 2x the HP, and 2x the price!
While the Bolt has its own charms I do miss driving my Soul. The reason I didn't consider a 2nd gen Soul EV (which on paper would have been perfect as well) is due to my negative experiences interacting with KIA dealers with my old car, and wanting to own a more mainstream EV that wasn't limited to a handful of thousands of units sold in N/A.
Anyway, I'm sure I'll check in here once in awhile anyway, but thought I'd say so long and thanks for all the help and community over the years.
