Check Brake warning

Anyone having the issue of when they turn the car the Check Brake warning pops up along with the ABS light, the traction control light, the Parking Break light and the Brake system / brake fluid warning light.

The Check Brake warning will go away but the other warning light stay on

The Car has been in 3 times for this issue,
First one was Air in the Break line
Second, was some switch needed to be replaced.
Third, well we don’t know it’s still sitting there and they are trying to figure it out.

The only issue I've had, besides the blinking segments in the battery display, was a loose ground wire connection to the battery pack fan which caused AeroVironment DCFC stations to fault out. I mention this because maybe there is a loose connection somewhere.

Have you talked to your dealership to get it replaced under the lemon law if they don't know how to fix it?

I wonder if Kia Canada can do something if the dealership does not cooperate.

p.s. I've never seen 181km range...

They have fixed the issue, it took them awhile but it's done,

For the troubles, KIA paid for the gas in the loaner car, paid the tax and freight on the level 2 charger from Bosch, and gave my regular service for free. Kind of worked out in the end, just a PITA waiting for 15 days.

Kia Canada was horrible to deal with, sadly in Canada there are no lemon laws, I called the VSA of BC and they said there is little you can do in Canada, but most place will keep fixing your car ,

fanbanlo the range has dropped after they fixed the issue, its about 175km now when i got it , it was 191km ,

That is an expensive repair 6238 dollars for an Integrated Brake Actuation Unit (IBAU).
Warranty covered it I assume.
I didn't know what an IBAU was so I looked it up in the Service Manual.

Am worried that once the warranty period expires repairs on this car will be incredibly expensive.
Another reason to loan not buy.

We extended the warranty to the same as the batteries , 8 years , and nope no charge for the work.

Wow, that's insane. The IBAU isn't worth anywhere NEAR THAT...

The comment comes from the Facebook group "They told me there has been a redesign since my Soul EV was made and they will be installing a new one"
Update: The IBAU was not the cause of the issue - replacement did not fix it.
Update2: No. Replacing with a new IBAU did fix the problem. The first swap was done with a similar version IBAU, that didn't fix it.

I just commented on that FB post that my car sounds very similar to this and the dealer declared it normal.

Do other Soul EV drivers have banging and clanking when manipulating the pedal at low speeds? I can even feel the clanks through the pedal.

Just had a look at the brake system in my car (the IBAU)

It seems to be made by Mando and be version 1.4. Anyone have a different version?
Mando is the same company that makes the On Board C harger (OBC)

There have been a few more reports of replaced IBAU brake units. Mostly because the brakes made a clunking sound. It doesn't seem to be a safety issue. Can someone confirm if there is actually a new version.
