Picked up the 2019 from the dealer after the -non-maintenance checkup. They recommended replacing the 12v and stated it has a 0% SOH. Pretty amazing since the car unlocks, powers up, and drives. So I had it checked at 2 auto parts stores and both results showed it was indeed, failed. Looking at the battery, it has a 2019 sticker which is weird because that suggests it was replaced in 2019 for some reason; The battery doesn't appear as an OEM an is the same brand as O'Reilly's.

Most of the autoparts sites (including in-store) list a 140R which has recessed posts (below bottom) and I could not see a way for it to work with the wiring. Now a 2018 shows the 121R with terminals on top like a normal battery which appears like what I have currently.

Anyone with a 2019 have the same 212R or in fact have the 140R?

Thank you!

I recommend a Battery booster for everyone (the size of a paperback novel). It takes the "Emergency" down to "priority" when a weak or drained battery is showing up. (they are from $50-100 CAD)
These cars are dependant on the 12V battery, and a "door open" LED can kill a battery in a day or two. Even with a new 12v it can drain due to proximity to a key nearby such as while camping or key kept in a place near the car in the house.
On average for the past 6 years, I use mine once a year. It takes about 2 Minutes to boost my battery to get the car started. Once started, and in "ready to drive" mode the main battery charges the 12V battery, like an alternator in a ICE car. I leave the car in this running mode in the driveway to help charge the battery if I am not driving right away. Its nice it does not pollute while doing this.
Of Note: The rear "trunk light" in my 2018 soul was Halogen. Once it was left on and it drained my 12v battery overnight. When discovered it was too hot to touch, I had to let it cool before investigating the bulb size. I promptly replaced it with an LED. This brought the drain from 20-30 watts down to 1 watt.
