Kia is never going to do this for you, but if you are willing to do it yourself anything is possible.
An example here's an unusual DIY fix for a degraded 27lWh battery.
Put a replacement 60kWh battery from a wrecked B olt EV into the boot.

There's some interesting discussion on this topic at the N issan L eaf Forum.
Someone there has actually designed a board to go between the BMS and the car's control unit in order to allow battery replacements.
