Hi everyone,
It's been 3 month since we've been trying to fix a tapping sound on my husband's 2018 Soul EV. Here is the back story, his vehicle started making a tapping sound 6 month ago that got louder over time, so he took it to a dealer in Texas. The good news was that it was still under warranty, but the bad news was that the part to fix wasn’t available and they had to order it from China, and there was no telling how long it would take.
Now, it’s been 3 months, and he’s still without the car. After several calls and emails to Kia Customer Care, they gave him a due date of September 7th, but that came and went with no part. At one point, they offered to reimburse him for rental cars and even asked for his sales contract to compensate for the trouble, which he sent in, but since there's been no word from them! We’ve read that others have had success escalating their case. How does he do that? Should we look into the lemon law? Any advice would be greatly appreciated
