Locking running car

Is there a way to lock the Soul EV while it is running? I haven't found a way to do it. Tried do it with the keyfob lock, then tried with a second key, nothing. On cold days like today, i want to keep the car running on the driveway to keep it warm for when my son is done his doctor's appointment. Wondering if there was a trick. I think it's disabled on purpose because it's easy to forget and leave the car running since it's so quiet.

You can also lock/unlock your car using the UVO app when it's started. Keep in mind when you unlock in this way there is a timer during which if you don't open a door the car will re-lock the doors.

Even if you lock the car with the keys not inside, since the car is 'on', someone can break the window and drive off with it.

I don't know if the UVO app will prevent this from happening or not, because in Canada we can't get the UVO app.
