Transmission housing cracked :(

Our 2015 Kia went through the wiring harness recall, BMS reprogram and battery replacement. Has been running great though we heard humming noise. Having this looked at, hoping was was low on gear oil, but found a cracked transmission housing.

Have a recommendation, in Orange County California, for a transmission shop that replaces transmissions on an EV? An estimate of what this would run? Thanks!

Looks like the lowest auto wrecker's price is currently $1800 at car-part.com, so I'd be inclined to go for a new replacement.

Great info, thanks! Unsure how it happened, though son did state he many have ran over something.

Anyone have referrals to a shop in Southern California that can do a EV transmission swap? Generally, can any/ICE transmission shop do this?
