Resolved: Heat pump stopped working after climate software update SA427, fixed via Kia Service Action 210031

I don't think that there is any way to tell without using the dealer KDS to read the software versions. My saved climate control preset heating / cooling times were unaltered by the update. Maybe go in to the dealer with a print out of the service action and ask to watch the tech plug the KDS...

    rear wiper home position/service mode

I suspect this is nothing more than just a problem with your rear wiper motor. Usually wiper motors have 3 connections power, ground (often through the mounting) and signal. The signal line drives the motor for the first part of the sweep, and then once it is past a certain point then the power...

Battery bar flashing....?! Anyone knows why?

It's been seen on many cars since they were released, I think that one of the earliest threads on this forum was about it. I've not seen an actual fix for it, there have been software updates and instrument cluster replacements, but it seems to always come back. There seems to be no actual...

    Charging stops within seconds

Are you sure the commercial stations are fully working? The car monitors what the station is supplying and if it is out of spec it will stop charging to avoid causing damage.

    Painting white wheel covers black

I don't know why the tyre place thinks they need special equipment, they don't. The Soul EV has a standard jacking point by each wheel. This can be used with any 2 post lift to lift the whole car, or a floor jack at any one point to lift just that wheel. There isn't much clearance between the...

Bosch charger fried and 2016 will not charge

All the EVSE does is a bunch of monitoring and signalling on low voltage pins before actually just switching on the main power lines. On the Bosch that's done by a little computer, so if you give it power and the computer boots up and lights that green light on the front, I'm sure it will work...

Bosch charger fried and 2016 will not charge

All the standard Digikey, Mouser, Newark are showing around the $100 each that you already found.

    Preheating, on EVSE?

Yes. A lot of the TPMS sensors have little G sensors built in and don't send pressures unless the wheels are turning.

    Preheating, on EVSE?

That would be through OVMS. You can also read them through Soul Spy etc. The OBDII PIDs for them were known early on.

3rd Party Software to control Chargepoint charger?

That's the only way, the J1722 doesn't signal battery status. Battery charge rate on the L2 is basically linear, guestimate at 25% per hour for 32A 240V to start with and then tweak it a little.

Clippercreek AmazingE FAST Level 2, 32 Amp EV Charging station

ClipperCreek is one of the really well known names for EVSE. I'd be perfectly happy with that as a replacement for my Bosch. Just be aware that it doesn't have a holster or easy way to wrap the cable, both are available as accessories to buy from ClipperCreek.

Bosch charger fried and 2016 will not charge

I've recently had several estimates from my dealer of parts that are going to take months only taking a week, including the OBC, so hopefully it doesn't take that long. Keep calling the dealership about a loaner though. It doesn't matter that the manager is out, they will have passed the...

Bosch charger fried and 2016 will not charge

I think the dealer is mistaken and it will all get sorted out and the OBC will be covered under warranty. Mine blew earlier this year and was replaced under warranty, no questions asked. They had also checked it out a coupe of years ago when the recall came out, so basically identical to yours...

Bosch charger fried and 2016 will not charge

OBC has died and will be replaced under the powertrain warranty, it's common. But I think you are out of luck with the Bosch and will just have to buy a new EVSE.

Resolved: Heat pump stopped working after climate software update SA427, fixed via Kia Service Action 210031

My leak was the expansion valve on the back of the engine compartment, square thing with a round cap that the lines connect to. It was noticeably dirtier than the rest of the engine compartment.

If you are low on refrigerant then cooling hisses and gurgles a lot and it still uses power.

Resolved: Heat pump stopped working after climate software update SA427, fixed via Kia Service Action 210031

That's odd. Every time my car goes in to my dealer, they run a query on the computer based on the VIN. It prints out any outstanding service actions and they add them on to the list of things to do automatically. Maybe try contacting Kia's corporate headquarters and tell them that the dealer is...

Resolved: Heat pump stopped working after climate software update SA427, fixed via Kia Service Action 210031

None of the software updates are documented as to what they actually do, apart from the parking brake one. They all just say "logic improvement". Are they not applying it to your car? Or have they applied it and you still have the issue?

Everything dead after “stop vehicle check brakes” warning

I agree that the 12V needs testing to die so quickly. Also note that while it is charged from the main battery, it's only the equivalent of driving around in an ICE car. So if the 12V is fully discharged it's better to initially charge it while disconnected from the car with a separate battery...
