charging stats

this is interesting.. i have a obc device that gives me driving and charging information. part of the fleet carma program

i made it home last night with 3.5% and started charging when i got home and it shows the car received 26.97 kwh with going from 3.5to100%

the other stat from this morning was the climate setting to bring the car to 21%^

Is this data any different from that you were getting from Torque?
What is the incentive to let someone else collect your data, rather than collecting it yourself?

too be honest i was having trouble with the layout of the dials on torque so i have lost interest in looking at it for some time.


this one is nice and simple.. not as much info as torque but all in a nice web login portal
no other incentive on the canada program other then seeing and collecting the charging and driving stats

down in the states they have been giving some kind of $$ credit for being involved

Seems quite a few Soul EV users in Quebec are now using the Fleet carma program for collecting charging stats. Some are getting a $50 voucher for taking part.

It doe seem to be much easier to use than torque, and is able to summarize the data nicely.
My main hope is that they share some of the results, especially from the battery deterioration data.

Also I don't know if they actually decode the CANbus themselves. From the look of the data they have just copied the info we found and shared.
They don't have a program for the Hyundai I oniq. If they do the decoding themselves, then I hope they share too.

that would have been when i arrived home and plugged in the level 2 for overnight schedule

would the middle light schedule indicator blink for 3 minutes?

Middle LED : Scheduled charge indicator.
Driver LED : 12v ACID battery maintenance (less than 15min) or Climate Scheduled (30min fixed).

lately they have added a battery health measure. not sure how accurate this is will see if it changes much over time/km added

When considering battery degradation, FleetCarma’s connected car platform collects data from the vehicle to show EV owners how their vehicle’s battery is holding up by evaluating two primary factors: (1) capacity fade and (2) power fade.

Battery Health = 89%.
I wonder if they are measuring that as the percentage of total capacity left.
If so that would be very confusing for most users because the warranty is based on usable capacity left.

You can check by going to Kia service and getting a reading for the SOH,
Or using Torque Pro to see the min and max deterioration readings.
Am guessing your SOH is actually 100% because your car has driven a similar distance to mine.
