I
I test drove the Chevy Bolt in Northern California yesterday. Nice car with a nimble, solid feel to it.
The strength of re-gen is comparable, (maybe slightly stronger when using the button on the back of the steering wheel) to Soul EV with slightly better acceleration.
It's quite a bit smaller than my Soul EV and a tiny bit smaller than a Prius. The hood/front of the car was alarmingly small.
I enjoyed driving it but I have to wonder about it's safety/crash rating.
A 238 mile range is certainly compelling.
When compared to Soul EV the lack of cargo capacity, the narrowed, compact but ergonomic interior is not.
-- It's a pretty small car with an upward, "sitting on it" look/feel rather than the stout, "sitting in it" feel of my Soul EV.
The dealer had SOLD his first two shipments (at the $40K MSRP price - minus state & fed. incentives) which were due in starting next week.
Leases will be available but he didn't have a quote on one.
Hyundai AE (All Electric) to be available before Chevy BOLT
