PlugShare better than the Soul on board system?

When I want to find a charge station I find PlugShare is preferable because it not only shows location but also charge station type and status.

Am I not using the on-board system correctly?

In The Netherlands I never use the on board system. It is outdated and doesn't show half of the chargers that are there and lists other which are not present (any more?).

Besides PlugShare I use The New Motion app or the ChargeMap. I have tried Open Charge Map thinking it would be something nice to add to, but since they don't seem to accept any of my submission (and don't tell why) I stopped using it.

Actually the same goes for the navigation. I always use the one(s) on my phone.
